YIELDED VESSELS UNTO THE LORD PRAYER MINISTRY began on March 21st, 1987. It was born out of a desire to see changes take place in our home affairs. We initially began with six women meeting every Thursday night to pray for our husbands, our children and other national matters.
During the first three months of meeting the Lord spoke prophetically through Esther Richards and said, “you shall be unto me, Yielded Vessels. Once you continue to yield yourselves unto me, I will fulfill my plan and purpose through you. You will be raised up to intercede on behalf of your community and nation. As you walk in obedience I will take care of the rest of your affairs.”
Instinctively and also excitedly we continued to meet for prayer every Thursday. This continued for about three years, during which time we invited various ministers of the gospel to come and minister the Word of God. We also hosted our annual Thanksgiving service in 2001 where the Lord through Apostle Vivian gave us a prophetic word that brought confirmation to what the Lord has been saying to us all along. The word also brought clarification as to the order of our ministry.
In 2002 we launched the Conquerors, which is the youth arm of the ministry. We meet every other Friday evening to share with them the Word of God, and engage in rap sessions about life. Board games, movies, outings are some of the activities we indulge in. It is indeed a privilege to work along with these young people. Our vision for them is, to see them live and experience their full potentials that was ordained by God.
Our operations have now moved into the Realspring Community Centre. We have learnt that all things work in accordance with the will and timing of God. In the meantime we continue to pray, watch and walk in obedience to God. Our vision is to see the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit transform the hearts and minds of all whom the Lord will send, so that we will fulfill our purpose.
