Areas of Ministry
Here is a list of the areas of Ministry, which are available at divine Destiny Worship Centre. Each area is acompanied by a synopsis of the terms of reference within which they operate. Neither the areas of ministry nor the accompanying terms of reference are, by any means, set in concrete. The Lord keeps editing them, as the structure of the Ministry unfolds.
Council of Elders
Works along with the pastors to help set policy; design and develop action plans; perform supervisory role over ministries and to liaise with the general Covenantorship of Divine Destiny Worship Centre. Elders share in the overall delivery of ministry, in areas such as preaching the Word, counselling, altar ministry and home visits.
Deacons
Understudy to Elders, armour bearers to pastors, altar work, security of property.
Cacaph - Three (3) arms
- Ushers : Supervise seating arrangements in the sanctuary, greet people at the door, altar work when required, car park duties.
- Chairos : Host and Hostess - greet people at the door, take note of visitors, interact and entertain visitors at end of service.
- Hospitality : Provide and prepare meals and refreshments for Pastors and Guests.
Dominion & Destiny Power Team
Intercession with a difference - apostolic, governmental and prophetic declarations that change things. Open to the entire church. An excellent opportunity to learn the principles of effective spiritual warfare.
Judah Ministry
Praise and worship and choir.
School of Wisdom
Systematic training of children and young adults, with the aim of encouraging them to develop holistically, in keeping with the four point development plan that Jesus' life took. Luke 2:52 states that,'Jesus increased in WISDOM and STATURE and FAVOUR with GOD and MAN.' We teach the Holy Scripture; give instructions in the fundamentals of personality development; provide information on world affairs; encourage social interaction and seek to develop skills and talents.
Men of Destiny
POSITIONING MEN TO EXERCISE KINGDOM AUTHORITY IN THE EARTH
Men of Destiny's purpose is to EMPOWER men by teaching them how to:
- Apply Biblical principles to the issues that are important in their lives.
- Build strong marriage and family relationships, as they recognize their rightful roles as men.
- To re-align themselves with God's original plan for their lives.
- Experience a closer walk with God, by instructing them on how to utilize the tools provided to them in the Bible.
- To fellowship and grow in their walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Open to ALL MEN
Women of Regal Destiny
Women of Regal Destiny are women with a passion for the presence of God, empowering other women with the necessary skills and
knowledge in the word of God to fulfil their God ordained destiny. We motivate, support and influence women to use their giftings
and potential to develop themselves and to lead other women to the saving knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Specific Objective:
- To assist in building positive attitudes by change in behaviour.
- Build self esteem.
- Build and maintain good interpersonal relationships.
- To support in times of crisis or as the need arises.
- To prepare women for higher levels of Ministry.
- To empower women with skills that will help them to fulfil purpose.
- We provide opportunity for women to use their creativity towards self-development.
Property Enhancement
Maintain and enhance the appearance of the sanctuary, offices and other facilities as well as the external environment. An excellent opportunity for those who are into horticulture and interior decorating.
Secretariat
Preparing, creating and dispatching correspondence, such as letters and posters/flyers to other assemblies and the general public - re: upcoming events. Creation of ministry news letter and magazine. To help with transcribing of sermons and prophecies when necessary.
Hoministry
Every Covenantor is entitled to have a scheduled service at his/her home, at least once per year. At that service the respective Covenantor is obligated to invite family and friends, as well as to participate actively in the service, in areas such as testimony, scripture reading and/or worship.
Hospital Visitation
Visiting and ministering to the sick at hospitals or bed-ridden at home.
Benevolent Ministry
Collection and distribution of food and clothing to the poor and needy.
Media Ministry
- Operating P.A. System and audio tape duplication.
- Operating video recording System and tape distribution.
- Preparation of audio and video tapes for radio and T.V. broadcasts.
- Operation of bookstore - Sale of books, music, tapes, videos, gift items.
- Operation of library facilities.
Church Historian
Documenting information, pertaining to significant happenings in the ministry. e.g. Prophecies, highlights of services and visits by guest speakers, baptism etc.
El Shaddai Performing Arts Ministry
An excellent avenue of expression for those who are into drama, poetry, dance, script writing etc.
David's Company
Reaching out to the youths - teenagers and young adults.
Singles Ministry
Reaching out to the singles among us through rap sessions, lectures, fun times etc.
Prison Ministry
An outreach to those in the correctional institutions such as St. Michael's Home for boys, St. Jude's Home for girls, Women's Prison etc.
